This $13 A6 cover fits my techo perfectly.
Want to find some really good old fashioned looking stamps since apparently a signet ring and a firm handshake are are not valid postage.
Ready to write some letters.
Picked up a Hobonichi A6. Instead of trying to make it my real calendar and todo thing, I’m using it as a daily journal and way to track the shape of my year. Loving it for that.
Thinking I may participate in International Correspondence Writing Month… but I’m about 27 people short on who to write to. Anyone want to receive a letter? incowrimo.org
Oh and it said no caller ID.
A guy with a strong accent just called, asked my name and hung up when I said yes. Sounded like there were kids in the background. Kind of freaking out.
Man birthdays are really the fucking worst.
Had a good birthday breakfast. Now I’m ready for my birthday nap.
The WASD Code keyboard looks cool… but I feel like the command key being in the wrong place might really bother me.
Might start drafting blog posts on paper. You know, because I’m weird.

Has anyone I know tried using a Hobonichi planner? How was it?
I think I might have reached the point today where I could start calling this a beard.
Just finished reading Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. That is a heck of a good book if you want to do anything creative.
Can’t believe how fast my penmanship is improving after just a couple days of practice. All I did was get a workbook and start tracing letters. Looking forward to learning one of the “systems” next.
Really digging the heck out of the LAMY 2000 I got. Feeling bad for my other pens.
Just finished reading The Handmaids Tale. Holy shit Margaret Atwood can really paint a picture. Also… 1/50 to my goal for the year. Will probably pick something a bit more uplifting next.
We’ve been sent good weather today.
How adorable is this little Japanese notebook? Can’t wait to get through my current Field Notes so I can start using it. Only problem is they’re pretty costly to use these all the time.
Liking the look of my current desk and chair. Need to replace this pre-Retina iMac with a MacBook Pro when I can save up the cash.
I find AirPods to be somewhat weird with every Mac (including the most recent TouchBar ones) I’ve tried them with in general.
The switching between devices on AirPods (iOS to Mac) is better than with other bluetooth headphones, but is still significantly less magical and reliable than marketing would have had you believe.
Something I just said to a colleague in Slack:
“Xcode 3 was the good one. It’s all been downhill since then.”
I think I’m turning into an old.
